Sustainability Lectures 2010/2011

The SBC lecture series runs from September to May, every other month.

 

Sustainability Shot Series is a 4 event series designed to provide attendees with a concentrated shot of information to energize their efforts to become more sustainable businesses or consumers.  

 

2010/2011

Wednesday, September 1 – Community Livability is the Best Path to Sustainability with former Missoula mayor Dan Kemmis, UM GBB Room 123, 7:00 p.m. Co-hosted by the UM Environmental Studies Department and sponsored by the Missoula Federal Credit Union.

Thursday, November 11 –Sustainable Shot Series: 10 Ways to Reduce Your Energy Costs, with Russ Hellem of Energetechs, The Loft of Missoula, 119 West Main, 5:30 refreshments, 6:00 presentation.

2009/2010
Thursday, September 17 – The Buzz about Bees and Sustainability with Bee Whisperer Scott Debnam in the 3rd Floor Community Room of the MCT Center for the Performing Arts (i.e. the Missoula Children’s Theater Building), with the social beginning at 6:00 pm and the presentation at 6:45pm.  Free and open to the public.  No RSVP required.

Tuesday, November 17 – Joint Event with the World Affairs Council: Understanding Cap and Trade Panel Discussion to be held in the UM Ballroom (3rd Floor in the University Center), exact time to be announced.  Free and open to the public.


Thursday, January 21 – Blackfoot Telecommunications Site Visit and Utility Panel Discussion at Blackfoot Telecommunications, 1221 North Russell St, with the social beginning at 5:30 pm and the panel discussion beginning at 6:00 pm.
