The SBC lecture series runs from September to May, every other month.
Sustainability Shot Series is a 4 event series designed to provide attendees with a concentrated shot of information to energize their efforts to become more sustainable businesses or consumers.
2009/2010 Thursday, September 17 – The Buzz about Bees and Sustainability with Bee Whisperer Scott Debnam in the 3rd Floor Community Room of the MCT Center for the Performing Arts (i.e. the Missoula Children’s Theater Building), with the social beginning at 6:00 pm and the presentation at 6:45pm. Tuesday, November 17 – Joint Event with the World Affairs Council: Understanding Cap and Trade Panel Discussion to be held in the UM Ballroom (3rd Floor in the University Center), exact time to be announced. Free and open to the public.

Thursday, March 11 – Measure Up Missoula: The Case for Municipal Sustainability Local, innovative solutions to our community’s impact on global climate change, 5:30 social and 6:00 presentation. Speaker Robin Saha will be discussing Missoula's municipal Greenhouse Gas Inventory. Free and open to the public. Missoula is one of 1,000 U.S cities that have signed on to the U.S Conference of Mayors’ Climate Protection Agreement.
April 27 lecture - The Sustainable Business Council and the UM School of Business will be co-hosting a lecture on Business and Sustaianble Development with Andrew Mangan. Andrew Mangan is co-founder and executive director of the United States Business Council for Sustainable Development, the leading national business organization in creating cross-industry and public-private relationships to solve environmental and social challenges while improving its members’ bottom line. The Business Council provides the opportunity to participate in authentic sustainability projects with industry, government and other key stakeholders that might not otherwise have the chance to collaborate and network.
