Sustainable Practices, Products, & Services:
Buildings are the number one energy consuming sector in the world and their construction and demolition are a leading cause of landfill wastes. To minimize these impacts, our staff with over 300 years of architectural experience is highly specialized in the art and science of building design.
Once an old silent film theater, the adaptive preservation of our own office follows the adage ‘the greenest brick is in the wall’. Our office space utilizes recycling, employs daylighting strategies, and utilizes sustainable finishes like sunflower-seed-shell wall panels to make a beautiful contemporary office space.

Awards & Achievements:
We designed and coordinated the sustainable systems of the Payne Family Native American Center on the UM campus. This project is a LEED Platinum candidate. Sustainable designs include ground source cooling, energy modeling, native planting, low and zero flow water fixtures, daylighting, low-VOC finishes, and a large amount of materials within 500 miles including logs from the Bonner dam removal.
Recipient of the American Institute of Architects honor award for our own office design.
