About Mountain Press Publishing Company:
Mountain Press is an independent, regional book publisher specializing in the areas of natural history, history, field guides, ski books, and western Americana. The books we publish seek to interpret our landscape, to clarify our understanding of the natural world, to see wonder in the commonplace, or to reflect on times past for insight. Sustainable Practices, Products, & Services:
We recycle and reuse everything we can! We print invoices on the back side of old edited manuscripts. We collect packing material from several local businesses and reuse it in the packaging of our books for shipment. We have in-house recycling containers set up for aluminum, plastic, metal, paper and cardboard. We reuse cardboard cartons for shipping whenever possible. We have a well insulated facility and have changed out almost all our light fixtures to electronic ballast fluorescent tubes.
