Our mission is to provide a challenging, progressive curriculum in a nurturing environment, so that students can become confident, enthusiastic learners and caring participants in their local and global communities.

Our mission is to provide a challenging, progressive curriculum in a nurturing environment, so that students can become confident, enthusiastic learners and caring participants in their local and global communities. Children are encouraged to respect and appreciate human diversity, both in the classroom and in the world. To foster these ideals, we study and celebrate the differences within our community and in the larger world around us. Community service is valued and extends beyond the school to the broader Missoula area. To promote the value of service, children are given opportunities to work for the benefit of others; and children are encouraged to take action in response to concerns, learning firsthand that they have the ability to make a difference. Children are encouraged to respect and appreciate the natural world. In order to cultivate this appreciation, environmental education is frequently integrated into the curriculum, with instruction in outdoor recreation both promoted and valued. We practice recycling through out the school.
