About United Way of Missoula County:
United Way of Missoula County has been an active force for good in our community for 80 years. Our focus is on education, income and health, the building blocks for a good life. We all win when kids are successful in school, when families are financially stable, and when communities are healthy. We ARE all connected and that’s what LIVING UNITED is all about.
Sustainable Practices, Products, & Services:
Over the last few years, we have started many excitingly-named internal initiatives such our "Spreadsheet Reduction Act" and Monthly Contest for Who Scanned the Most Pages. We recycle paper, aluminum, and plastic. We facilitate donations of used office equipment and supplies to other nonprofits. Beginning in 2012, we will introduce an electronic pledge form which we hope will eventually replace our traditional paper pledge form. We are also looking to improve the energy efficiency of our workspace, further promote ridesharing and/or biking, and put forth a sincere overall effort to decrease our carbon footprint.
